I am a native Chicagoan who bought my first home in 1997. It was a ranch home in Washington Heights which was an estate sale. It was pretty rough around the edges at first, but I purchased it at a good deal. I made it home and improved it for 8 years while I lived there. In 2005, I sold it for a $90,000 profit. In 2002, I acquired a passion for Real Estate and bought a 4 unit in Grand Crossing. It has cash flowed for me now for 7 years. It has definitely had it's tough moment's-being a landlord, doing renovations and maintenance, but it has been more of a benefit than a burden.
By 2003, my passion expanded and I obtained my Real Estate Agent license. I have helped many people realize their American dream of homeownership and it has been so fullfilling for me.
